美国研究人均寿命延长应注意预防白内障

美国眼科学会1日公布的一项研究报告显示，随着生活水平提高和医疗条件改善，美国人的寿命在逐渐延长，但同时患白内障的人数也相应提高。

报告说，这项涉及美国老年人的研究发现，寿命长短与患白内障之间存在一定联系。寿命越长，患白内障的可能性越高，对70岁以上的老人来说，这一现象尤其明显。

报告指出，随着老年人口的增加，有关方面应加大宣传力度，让更多的人掌握预防白内障的常识。

报告提出了以下预防措施：一、在40岁时进行眼底检查，因为这是白内障早期症状出现的年龄；二、采取早发现、早医治措施；三、在阳光强烈的日子外出时，应佩戴防紫外线眼镜和宽边遮阳帽；四、不要吸烟；五、糖尿病患者应通过饮食调整、锻炼或服用药物来控制血糖水平。

白內障是因眼球水晶体混浊，导致视力障碍的一种疾病，通常可分为先天性与后天性两种，其中又以后天性的老年白內障为最常见。吸烟、糖尿病和眼睛受伤或发炎会增加患后天性白内障的风险。治疗白内障的常见方法是手术，而且手术成功率可达95%。
